For founders and heads of People

A path forward for the people leaving your company.

A layoff happens to a person, even when a company makes the call. Launchpath is 90 days of practical help for tech people at companies of 10–200: a resume written for the market they are walking into, matched roles each week, and coaching while they interview. It can be live within 48 hours of signing.

You buy this for the people who are leaving. It is not something they purchase on their own. Pilot pricing is available for early partners.

The problem

People usually leave a small company with severance and a goodbye.

Traditional outplacement, from firms such as LHH, Randstad RiseSmart, and Right Management, is built for large employers. It typically costs thousands of dollars per person and takes time to stand up. In the same weeks a startup is cutting cost, that is a hard thing to buy.

So someone gets a severance document, sometimes a reference, and a note. Then they are on their own, rewriting a resume at the kitchen table and guessing which roles are real. The people who stay watch how that goodbye is handled.

Launchpath is the middle path: practical help for the person leaving, at a price and a pace a company of 10–200 can actually use. You can describe it honestly, because it is specific.

Severance is the pay and the paperwork that ends the job. It does not tell someone how to look for the next one. That next part is what this program is for.

Why it matters

How people leave becomes the story of the company.

Founders and heads of People look for this when they want the person leaving to have a plan, and when they know the rest of the company is watching. We do not have a score for that. These are the reasons it matters.

The people who stay

They see the goodbye. Morale is not a number we can put on this page. It is what the remaining team says about the company the week after.

The story that gets repeated

Reviews, references, and the friend a future candidate calls. People describe how they were treated on the way out. That description outlasts the severance letter.

An exit you can explain

A layoff with no support is harder to describe to the team, to candidates, and to anyone who asks what you offered. A specific program is something you can say out loud.

Treating a person well

That is the reason to do it. Reputation and the mood of the team are part of the same decision, not a substitute for it.

Compare

Severance, a traditional firm, or Launchpath.

Traditional outplacement, from firms such as LHH, Randstad RiseSmart, and INTOO, is real work at a large-company price. Severance alone is what most companies this size can offer instead. Here is the practical difference.

How it works

Someone can start within 48 hours.

Four steps across 90 days. A person can begin as soon as they have a resume to upload.

  1. 01

You tell us who is leaving

Share their names. We begin within 48 hours. There is no workshop to schedule before someone can get help.

  2. 02

    They say what they need

Each person uploads a resume in their own time and tells us the roles they want, the pay they need, and what should shape the search: location, visa, schedule, anything else.

  3. 03

A resume, roles, and a weekly room

We rewrite the resume for the US market. Each week they receive matched open roles pulled directly from company career pages, a group coaching session, and interview prep.

  4. 04

You hear how they are doing

Once a week you get a short note: interviews, offers, and people who have landed. You are not asked to coach anyone or chase applications.

On layoff day

Something to put in their hands before they leave the room.

The manager should not have to invent what comes next. Launchpath gives you a one-page note, and a link, to hand over in the conversation. It says what the person can do this week, in plain language.

You can read it aloud, leave it on the table, or send the link the same day. It is the handoff. It is not a speech you have to write yourself.

Launchpath

For you, on the day you leave

Your company has set this up. Here is what happens next.

  1. Open the link we send. Upload your resume and tell us the roles you want, the pay you need, and anything that should shape the search.
  2. We rewrite the resume for the US market.
  3. Each week for 90 days: matched open roles from company career pages, a group session, and interview prep.
  4. What you tell us about pay and personal constraints stays with us. Your company hears about interviews, offers, and whether you have accepted a role.

For each person leaving

What each person actually receives

90 days of concrete help, prepared for the US market: engineering, product, design, data, and the technical roles beside them.

  • An async intake: resume upload, target roles, salary, and the constraints that should shape a search
  • A professional resume rewrite focused on the US market
  • A weekly list of matched open roles, pulled directly from company career pages
  • A weekly group coaching session
  • Interview prep

For you

A weekly note, so you know people are being looked after

You still need to see what is happening. The note is short on purpose. We report what happened. We do not promise a number of hires.

  • A weekly note: interviews, offers, and people who have landed
  • Something specific you can tell the people who are staying
  • One person to write to, instead of a program your team has to run
  • What someone shares about salary and personal constraints stays with them. It is not in the note to you

The weekly note covers three things

Interviews
Who is in conversation, and for what kind of role.
Offers
Who has an offer in hand.
Landed
Who has accepted a role.

FAQ

Straight answers, before anyone has to leave.

How fast can you start?

Within 48 hours of signing. People do the intake on their own time, so you do not need a kickoff meeting before someone can get help. If the conversations have already happened, we can still start on that same clock.

What roles do you support?

Tech roles aimed at the US market: engineering, product, design, data, and the technical roles beside them in the same group. The resume is written for US hiring. If the people leaving sit mostly outside that, say so, and we will tell you whether we are a fit.

Is it confidential?

The search belongs to the person. Salary expectations, constraints, and the rest of the intake stay between us and them. You receive a weekly note about interviews, offers, and who has landed. Private answers are not in that note.

What if we have only 5 people?

Use the per-person price, starting at $399. Five people is a normal place to start. The team rate covers a group of up to 15. Early partners can also start with one person and pay only for the people who enroll, at cost. Past 15 on the team rate, ask us for a number.

What if someone does not want the help?

On the pilot, you pay for the people who enroll. A name that never starts is not a charge. On the published per-person and team prices, we confirm who is included before you commit. Nobody is required to take the help.

What does the manager hand them on the day?

A one-page note, or a link to it. It explains the intake, the resume rewrite, the weekly roles and coaching, and what stays private. The manager does not have to write that explanation in the room.

How do you report results?

Once a week you get a short note: who has interviews, who has an offer, and who has accepted a role. It says what happened. It does not predict what will happen, and it is not a guarantee.

Do you guarantee that people will be hired?

No. Launchpath does not publish placement rates, and we will not invent them. The companies they apply to make the hiring decisions. Our work is the intake, the resume, the weekly roles, the coaching, and an honest account of what actually happens.

Can an individual job seeker buy this?

Launchpath is bought by the company, for the people who are leaving. If you are in a search yourself, this is something your employer would set up.
