Layoff-day kit

Plain language for the conversation and the people still in the room. Nothing here is gated. You can read it, print it, or send the link.

Not legal advice. Check WARN and local requirements with counsel.

Manager talking points

Say what is happening. Then hand over the note. You do not have to invent a speech.

  • Say that the company has set up 90 days of practical help.
  • Give them the one-page note, or the link to /start.
  • Do not promise a new job, a number of interviews, or a date by which they will be hired. Launchpath does not guarantee those.
  • Tell them the intake is on their own time. They can start when they upload a resume.
  • Tell them pay and personal constraints stay with Launchpath. The company hears about interviews, offers, and whether they have accepted a role.
  • If they have a question you cannot answer, point them to hello@getlaunchpath.com.

The one-page handoff note

This is the note to put in their hands. The same words are on the employee page.

Launchpath

For you, on the day you leave

Your company has set this up. Here is what happens next.

  1. Open the link we send. Upload your resume and tell us the roles you want, the pay you need, and anything that should shape the search.
  2. We rewrite the resume for the US market.
  3. Each week for 90 days: matched open roles from company career pages, a group session, and interview prep.
  4. What you tell us about pay and personal constraints stays with us. Your company hears about interviews, offers, and whether you have accepted a role.

FAQ for the team that stays

People who are not leaving will ask what this means. Answer the question in front of you. Do not speak for someone else's search.

  • Are the people leaving on their own from here? No. The company arranged a 90-day program. That is not a promise they will be hired.
  • What can I say if someone asks? You can say the company arranged practical help, and that the details of anyone's search are private.
  • Does this page describe my job? No. It is about the people who are leaving. It is not a statement about who stays or what their work becomes.
  • Is any of this legal advice about the layoff itself? No. Check WARN and local requirements with counsel.

Email yourself a reminder

Optional. The kit is already on this page. If you want the link in your inbox, leave an email. We use it for that note, not for a sales list we have not described.

Send the kit link

Both fields are required if you send this. You can skip the form and keep reading.

Or email hello@getlaunchpath.com directly.
